Critically acclaimed, the show has won three BAFTAS, nine Prime Time Emmys and garnered a Golden Globe nomination for Cumberbatch for Best Actor in a Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television amongst numerous other nominations and awards. Cumberbatch's performance has rightly been heaped with praise. He is sensational in the title role.
